Whats up with Halo?

Got Godfall for a tenner to try it out, if you thought the 90 was bad in the bangforbuck gamer vid, its on a whole different level on the 80.

Went to do video yesterday on halo but turns out I don't have it installed anymore so will need to make room, maybe this weekend if I can get re village or/and deathloop finished. However, just for giggles, a quick google:

That frame latency.... Must need more vram or maybe it's just a local system issue on his end, right Matt? ;) :D  :p

Someone with 12900K and DDR4 on youtube. Why he dont have drops like me here? I tested the same area and my fps are 85 fps with random drops to 65 fps. He dont have drops and steady 90-110fps. Is this because i have 10850K?

your ram is slow and your cpu is 2 generations old

Best thing you can do is disable any overlays like Afterburner.

I find games far more enjoyable that way, otherwise you spend more time looking at your frametimes, framerates etc.

This is turning into an obsession for you.

Some frame rate drops are unavoidable, regardless of the system.

If you want consistent framerates and frametimes then use rivatuner to cap your fps to you 1% lows. If your low in a game is 70fps then cap it to that. I'm assuming you're using gsync, if not then cap it to the refresh of your monitor, as using 70fps on a 60hz monitor for example is going to feel stuttery and you'd get tearing.

When I say disable afterburner I mean so you can focus on the game, not that it will fix the stutters and fps drops.

Just try and enjoy playing the games rather than worrying about the odd frame rate drop.

A 12900k won’t prevent framerate drops.

The only difference between a 12900k and your processor would be the framerates themselves.

So you might get highs of 100fps and lows of 75fps whereas a 12900k might get 120fps and lows of 95fps. There will ALWAYS be framerate drops unless you cap your framerate at a consistent framerate your pc can achieve and even then a game engine might have inherent flaws and limitations that cause drops.
