Random Freezing issue

Hi

iv had my computer since the new sandybridge kit came out, got the motherboard exchanged etc.

im having an issue with random freezing, it only happens once a day or so... any windows iv got open start to freeze, i hit ctrl alt delete and it takes me part way to the login screen but gets stuck on 'preparing security options' for a few minutes.

works absolutely fine after this and nothing is lost exept im dead on whatever game im playing.

anyone got a solution?

iv got a p8p67 pro
2500k
2x4gb vengeance
64gig c300 ssd
other hardrive
2x gtx 260s

updated to the latest bios a few weeks ago, got latest drivers etc.

any help much appreciated, thanks

Have you got the latest firmware 007 on the SSD?

i got hung up on it being the motherboard, i never thought it could be the ssd but that seems to describe the issue quite well...

anyway, i now have another issue, iv burnt both the cd's to update my 0002 ssd to 0007,

the 0002 cd does not get recognized at all on boot up :S, the 0007 one does, iv burnt the 0002 one twice, so i dont think its a duff copy...

the file name for the 0002 one is bootisolinux-0002-to-0006 which leads me to believe its not for windows :S

confused

any ideas?

You are downloading just the 006 version? then after thats updated do the 007.

yeah iv got the 006 one on its own cd but the computer just wont recognise it,

i got the 007 one on a seperate cd just to see if the computer would recognise that one and it does but like you say i cant go straight from 002 to 7

Not sure what to add, try reading the update guide.

Try another burning software.

burnt a third 0002 disc and it worked first time, hopefully no more freezes and finally an issue free pc
