I will be wearing them over my trousers for muddy conditions tomorrow, but if I need to put on my waterproof overtrousers, should the gaiters be over the top? Or underneath? I'm sure the answer is underneath, but thought I would ask. I'm sure there are more suited forums to this sort of question! Sorry!

try on under the waterproof on the left leg, one over on the right, then which ever leg gets wetter you'll know the answer?
