Random London Meet!

Maybe we should have a proper city meet sometime, plan it a decent time in advance, pop down to a city pub one evening, have some food/drinks.

Anyone interested? i'll start a new thread if theres enough replies.

There was one being planned back in january for a meet in March...

Think it got pruned :(

definitely up for a London meet, I now live a bus ride from the west end :D
 
London meets have always prooved difficult to orgaise in the past because of 1. Traveling in. 2 The cost of travelling in. 3. The cost of London and bar prices etc.. It's just never really worked.. but as the OTS says, it's just a random "mini" meet.

EDIT: unfortunately meets in London are normally only attended by the Londoners amongst us for those reasons. I suppose we're more used to the prices and have travel cards etc.

even if its just the Londoners it'll be alright, i seem to remember the last London meet went over 2 days and involved bars and clubs etc etc. Personally i'd be up for having a drink one evening, can't be bothered with the whole clubbing thing, but if some people want to then go for it.

I reckon we could get a decent ammount of people, should give it a few days and see how many people respond.

I'd be up for that but only if it's on a weekday evening (don't fancy travelling in at the weekend). A Friday night would probably be good and if we stuck to the City side would can avoid all the nasty tourist places in the westend.

I agree with Chimaera, not really a fan of clubs...

However I have collaborated on some rather fantastic pub crawls around this fair city (the closest we got to south london was the south bank, and we could still see the REAL London from there ;))
