Random system shutdowns

Hey all,

I've been having some issues with my system where I get random lockups followed by the system restarting and saying there was an unexpected shut down.

This has only really started happening in the past few days. Its very random if I load up a game it happens more often but it also happens randomly when I'm just browsing.

I've updated all driver, applied all system updates, ran a virus and malware scan but its still happening :(

Specs of the system are:
Crucial M4 64gb,
Samsung spinpoint F3 1tb,
Intel i7 9300
gigabyte x-58 usb 3 motherboard
6gb corsair memory,
XFX 750w psu
Evga gtx570.

I'm completely stumped so if anyone has any suggestions I'd really appreciate it.

Are you able to find anything in the event viewer?

Also, have you changed anything recently?

I've had previous issue with USB sticks being connected in a reboot which can cause this.

event viewer doesn't really have anything on it bar a kernel-power warning.

Besides having anything plugged in I've only got an xbox controller in that I was using for playing a game.

If you disconnect all the peripherals which you go not need, external HDD's Cd/DVD drive, usb items, internal HDD's, just keeping the basic's, what happens?

You can then plug one device in at a time to find out what is causing it.

Cheers for the advice guys. Just installing blue screen viewer now and then I'll start the process of unpluging everything this evening

edit:

the bluescreen viewer is saying that these have been causing the blue screen to occur the past few times its happned.

nvlddmkm.sys + dxgkrnl.sys + dxgmms1.sys

any ideas?

Have you attempted to update/re-install DirectX and your graphics drivers?

Also, is this occurring in game or just sporadically?

I've just installed the latest nVidia graphics driver a few minutes ago but I'm going to reinstall directx as well now.

Its quite sporadic but it seems to happen a lot more in game

What dram and qpi/vtt voltages are you using? Could be memory CPU memory controller voltage not enough

everything is at stock so I'm not even sure what its set to.

Reinstalled drivers seem to have done the trick but it was quite temperamental before.

Edit I spoke too soon lol still happening

If its memory it will cause any driver to fail, look in BIOS in m.I.t section for dram and qpi/vtt and see how much,I would set qpi/vtt to 1.32v and dram to either 1.5v or 1.66v depending on your ram, look on the ram box or stick to see its rated voltage
