random track listing

why whatever mp3 player you have, does 'random play ' seem to favourite tracks over and over.

i have been listening to about 10 different albums on random play whilst cycling for nearly a year, and there are tracks that never get played, and some , played too much.

why?

favouring or excluding tracks doesn't define random to me.

it's so random, that it's not.

the track selection will be made using an algorithm, which inevitably chooses some more than others, and others never.

its the ' never ' i don't understand. thats more of a predetermination rather than randomness isn't it?
