For a couple of weeks now I have been having some random problems with windows and need help trying to work out what is causing them.

Sometimes when I turn the computer on Catalyst control centre throws up an error and says it can't start, however it does then start up and the computer runs fine for the most part.

However, today I started up the computer and just after I got into windows I got a BSOD with the error "Page Fault in non paged area".

I reinstalled ATI Catalyst, and have run AVG on a full scan several times. Windows update is disabled, and has been for about a month, because one of the updates it kept automatically installing broke my crossfire.

The PC itself is:
Core 2 Duo E6300
Gigabyte DS4
2GB RAM
Seagate 300GB HDD
X1900XT X1950XT X-fire
Windows XP Pro SP2

Where should I be looking in order to fix this problem?

Its not new, its been installed for about a year now with no problems.

The memory is Crucial Ballistix PC2-6400 and the PSU is a 700w Tagan jobby, running at stock.

Okay, it could be the ram just dieing or it could be some software error.

A: try different ram
B: Try a fresh install.
