Range Rover Evoque

My wifes ordered one for Dec/Jan delivery.

Coupe Turbo petrol auto Dynamic Lux
Fuji white
Pimento/Ebony leather (red and black)

These little things are going to massive i think, very popular.

thing is, even if it has the looks to make someone feel like a mini-celeb, surely the fact that the roads will be infested with them, takes the edge off??

I dont think the people buying these are wanna be mini celebs, they just like the look of them.

Anyway driving a popular car never bothered me, and i doubt she will even notice.

What surprised me was the small money they took off her, a grand to book the build slot and another grand because she specced it there and then.

Never stopped people buying BMW Minis....

Never stopped anyone buying anything, popular cars become popular because they are good as a general rule dont they.

I know what Matt is saying though, lack of exclusivity, but what is exclusive now days?

Nice one Mark :)

I've just been taken through the press event presentation that has been shown over the last 2 weeks. Pretty impressive stuff as we had the 3D VR centre in 4k mode so its double HD resolution to show what tools we have in terms of packaging and design, showing the car in a city environment and then sitting inside the driver seat looking out of the car with a realistic interior (including effect of tinted windows)

Basic car standard is a Meridan 8 speaker system with around 350W and then 825W 16 speaker and the Trisound processing on the top spec so each seat experience the same sound quality, coupled with leather seats the 8" touchscreen and parking sensors it doesnt really offer a 'povety spec'.

More ground clearance than Freelander, only 15mm less than Range Rover Sport at full heighton its air sus! shorter than a Focus, 40mm more head room than a 3 series Coupe in the 3door rear. 420 Litre boot with space for golf clubs with driver club ;)

The approach, breakover and departure angles numeric values with the 500mm water wade line and ground lines mean this is very much retains proper 4x4 capability. Q5 is no where near and X1 there is no comparison to the 4x4 paper attributes.

19 inch wheels look good on them dont they, very stylish chunky looking little car.

The angles at which either the front bumper, centre floor or rear bumper hit the ground if the road had an angled slope.

Sorry that wasn't clear :o . I know what the definition is, I trail a Series 1 and am currently butchering a proper 1971 Range Rover to restore and then trail that. What are the values?

I think it was around 25 front and rear 33 with 22 breakover .... I could measure it actually ;)

Another day in the office :)

Looks skewed as the view trackers the person wearing the glasses.

(Stupid question warning)

I take it you work for JLR? and if memory serves the VR centre is at the Gaydon site?

If you don't mind me asking which area do you work in? I'm not that clued up on all of the areas yet but will start trying to learn what's what soon.
