Anyone got a 2011 model ?

Looking to buy one, I can buy it in cash but I would rather pay via some kind of PCP etc, what are the numerous ways of this? I develop property as well as my main income stream therefore any cash I have lying around can be slowly turned into profit. I am self employed and my business is all kosher so I could do some kind of business CP too ?

Also, whats the reliability like, I know the 4.2SC versions are a bit ropey, what about the 5.0SC and the 3.6TDV8 ? Do i need that much power, is the new 3.0 TDV6 ok ? I need a nice car that will get me about, will use it daily, visit construction sites, basically NEED a 4x4 but one with some class aswell.

Was looking at this one:

Thanks.

Is it really worth buying such a new one?

I know very little about them, but there's no way I'd be dropping £62k on a diesel Range Rover Sport. Do 12 month old examples seriously command such a high figure?

I know hardly anything about them but pretty sure I remember reading in Car magazine the new 3.0 TDV6 is as good (power, torque etc...) as the older 3.6 TDV8 but with none of the drawbacks (fuel economy etc...).

A RR sport will have SOME class but a proper RR will have CLASS. Get a proper one.

There's a "New money" association with the sports.

I'd rather a top range Disco than a Sport

Work out the interest rate on the finance.

Work out your ARR/IRR on any investment projects.

That then quite easily answers the question of whether you should finance it or pay cash.

Yea, don't get an RR Sport, you'll just look like you dabble in property development.

Oh wait.

The V8 diesels drive very well, better than the last shape, its madness buying it new they drop like a rock in that first year.

great cars, I had an older one as a daily in NYC however the cayenne craps all over it in every respect unless you have a specific RR look boner

Sounds like your doing well for yourself but why waste £65k on a range rover that you'll use for work and going on building sites.

Surely this would fit the bill....

Brand new, few toys fitted and £40k cheaper plus it's a lot more useful should you need to take some materials somewhere

+1 on this, that car is far better than the Range Rover in every way.

Just look at that interior!

And a cream leather interior is perfect for building sites??

When did I say it's better in everyway? Surely it's just more practical for the work he does. He doesn't even know a thing about range rovers, which he's said I think it's more of a case of looking the part!

Its not jus about building sites its about creating the right impression with clients too.

If the man wanted a van he wouldnt want a RR Sport would he.

When i think of property developers I dont think of men in hard hats on a building site. Maybe thats just the impression I get from TV shows, but it cant be far wrong if a RRS is being chosen over a proper work horse ;)

Its a good suit you need with a nice shirt and a power tie for property developing :D

Already have those, both Paul Smith custom tailoring (£3k) and a Saville Row :)

Im not a builder I dont need to carry stuff to the building sites, that made me laugh!

All I know is the older RR Sports arent reliable, so i would like one with a warranty of some kind.

The old shape aint bad, my partners wife got a 2007 one, its fine.

As for suits, very important, some people just got no style :)
