I ordered this bundle during the week, I received it yesterday & started building it this morning but I seem to have hit a big roadblock. That roadblock is the fact that the heat sink doesn't mount on this motherboard.

None of the fittings included match up with the holes on the motherboard & It isn't even listed as supporting AM4 on the heat sink box as you can see from these pictures:

Anyone got any ideas or anyone who has bought this bundle themselves? Not sure why OcUK would sell a bundle with a heat sink that doesn't fit?

This is the bundle.

Hard to see from your picture but isn't the metal bracket the wrong way up?

EDIT: Also does it not have the brackets with the elongated holes? IIRC you use those (though they might be the Intel ones not 100%). I've mostly just used the stock AMD Wraith coolers on recent builds so not overly familiar with that setup.

It is the wrong way up but I know that, The picture was just to illustrate that the bracket isn't long enough to mount into both holes as you can see from the right hand side of the bracket. The left side is lined up with the holes.

Unfortunately I've not built a this generation AMD system yet with aftermarket coolers so I'll leave it to those who actually have LOL.

Its okay! It is the first time I have built an AMD machine before, I have always used Intel :D

This is with the Intel bracket: https://imgur.com/a/5PquAgg

Another with the AMD bracket: https://imgur.com/a/DgKDhEo

Very odd indeed, There is no mention of AM4 anywhere on the heat sink box. Unless I have been sent an old revision of it?

I mean check your packaging, etc. incase they've slipped it in somewhere as it seems the cooler doesn't come with that bracket as standard despite being AM4 compatible.

All packaging checked no sign of that bracket anywhere.

I have just the basic AMD & Intel brackets.

Cheers again :)
