We've all heard of the utter disgrace that can be Royal Mail, but DHL comes in a class of its own. Their customer service and delivery record is of the most **** poor I have ever seen. This is the second time I've had to use them to recieve a parcle, and the second time they've ****ed the delivery up.

I sent them an e-mail on friday after they ballsed up the first attempt. They asked it to be sent before 5PM, I sent this at 4:27PM

Dear DHL

A parcle was due to be delivered to my work address today, but the driver
contacted the sender saying that "we can't find any one with that name at
the address". I was at work since 9:00am and there had been no delivery at
all. A member of staff was unable to reach the driver to redeliver the
parcle.

The origional delivery was to:

*snip*

Please can the parcle be delivered to:

*snip*

If delivery is not possible for Monday, please send it to the origional address.

Yours Sincerely

Senture

So today, I call them up to confirm that the parcle will be delivered, only to be told the bloody parcle will be returned to sender on the 21st April. I was then advised to send YET ANOTHER e-mail to deliver the freaking parcle.

I would also like to express my dissatisfaction with the extremely poor
service I have received from you as a company. This is the second parcle I
have been sent through your company and this is also the second time you
have failed to deliver correctly.

The first delivery of the parcle failed, stating that "is not known at
address". Delivery was attempted at 9:43am on Friday 11th April. I was in
the property from 9:00AM and I am also the primary person whom opens the
door. There was no ring of the bell, no knock, no card either. So how you
can claim that I am not known at the address is totally beyond me.

Further more, I sent an e-mail on Friday asking for the delivery address to
be changed to my home address for delivery on Monday. This request was sent
at 16:27, well before the cut-off time. Upon calling to confirm recipt of
said e-mail, a member of your staff said the parcle is due to be returned to
sender on the 21st April.

Please confirm weather you are to deliver the parcle to said address, or
return it to the sender.

Yours Sincerely,

Senture

They get my vote as the most ****ing useless company ever.

Any one else have crappy service like this from DHL?

There isn't really any point in trying to write a formal letter than forgetting to spell check it. I'd be surprised if they weren't laughing about it in their twisted evil tower surrounded by the hundreds of TVs and white goods that go missing each year..

You do realise DHL stands for: Documents Hopelessly Lost. don't you!?!...

They're all a much of a muchness!.. I've had problems with:

DHL loosing 3 parcels and failing to deliver a 4th stating the 'Unknown at this address' excuse,
UPS not turning up for 3 weeks and returning the parcel with the obligatory 'Unknown at this address' also,
Fed-Ex delivering 3 separate parcels all of which were damaged severely!..

The list is endless!!... the only couriers who've not really smegged up any deliveries (apart from Royal Snail who take for ever to deliver) were Lynx and Business Post.

I find for business DHL are excellent, never have any problems with them at all :)

Same goes for the others like CityLink , TNT etc. when they have to deliver to my house it all goes **** up though :p

I've got £30,000 worth of stuff arriving with DHL today, lets hope that doesn't get lost

I know, they're useless. I've tried to send off my laptop back to Acer 7 times now and every time I send it off they fail to lose it either way, would make my life so much easier and I've even tried to bribe the driver but no matter how much I try it gets delivered
