Hell some games don't even support 1280x1024, one of the most common screen resolutions!

I always lose game saves when I reformat C:\ despite everything being installed on D:\ and all my data being on E:\ becuase of the completely random savegame locations for some games.
I've partly got around the cluttered My Docs things by manually setting game data folders as hidden folders - works most of the time but then San Andreas wouldn't find my custom music as it was in a hidden folder, but it'd load a saved game. Nice.

Agreed, I install anything to D:\Games and yet there it is, putting some unwanted **** in the various 'My' folders, which, like the XP theme were designed for retards or kids.Killerkebab said:I swear I am going to start punching walls the next time a game creates a folder in my goddamned documents, cluttering it all up

i have been using 1680x1050 for about a year and a half now, and i have to say, i find it very very hard to go back. Trying to play any game on a standard resolution on my second monitor frustrates me as in just about any game having the extra 'room' makes it much more aesthetically pleasing.
The good thing is even games that dont 'support' widescreen resolutions will have a registry entry or ini file that lets you set it yourself. It does irritate me though when newer games only show a bog standard hard coded list of resolutions though (EA, you money grabbing scum)
