Rant re: road "resurfacing"

the rough chippings make for a good road but only for about 6months during that time though you can never trust that all the loose chips have gone so i never push it.
 
The roads are really bad around here. There's a stretch of road on my daily commute with a 30mph limit. I never do any more then 20 along there as it's so uneven through fear of damaging my suspension or shaking one of my fillings out.
