Rant: Why are all "bodyshops" useless

I wouldn't have been happy with that either. It's clearly a different finish to the factory stonechip and tbh, looks pretty terrible, they've not even managed to get an even finish on the new stonechip.

I'd say it looks to me like they've realised on day 5 and done a rush job, I'd also be furious that they'd been running around in my car.

Dealer Principal time!

Audi are usually very helpful, my girlfriend managed to severely hit one of the rotors (which are like £500 a wheel!), which is weird as we have never curbed any of the wheels at all, so i decided I wanted to put a new one on for her given its finish and refurbing would never do it justice.

The fitter basically dented the lasered lip edge of the alloy ever so slightly, and they were more than happy to sort it out, get a new rotor in, allow me to inspect at every stage etc.

It's going in for the first service and they proactively asked us for any issues with the car they want us to solve under warranty etc.

If I ever feel the need to get a car myself then I will definately be going Audi

That is grim, I feel frustrated reading it but can't help compare it to the recent warranty repair my 2007 civic has just had, the car was delivered and returned from Manchester to Crewe without 1 mile being added to the clock. The work is without fault, could it be a sign that Audi dealerships are struggling with customer service seeing as though there seems to be a lot more of them on the road these days

Surprise surprise, 1hr 20mins after my car was supposed to be picked up, I've had no phone calls, and no pickup.

I'm at my wits end with this now.

Welcome to the motor trade. I have tried many, many bodyshops and have yet to find a single one where I was 100% satisfied in every way.

The mentality is 'that'll do' and 95% of the public just lap it up so there is no incentive for them to change :(

Time for them to be told you will be getting it rectified elsewhere and they will be getting the bill

And then a protracted legal battle to get them to actually pay it.

I was thinking more getting them to get their backsides in gear

If it did get to legal proceedings, they have agreed it was sub standard and now failed to rectify as agreed, can't see it being that difficult

I really want to take this case beyond my local dealership and the bodyshop now, and escalate it to Audi UK, so that (if nothing else) the bodyshop goes under scrutiny as to whether they should be allowed to continue operating as "Audi approved".

If anyone has any idea on who to contact and how, that would be much appreciated!

Unfortunately, Housey's suggestion of contacting the dealer principal (Bernard Mort), has only resulted in Bernard stressing to the bodyshop to contact me ASAP, rather than it being escalated further.

That's no use, I don't want to contact my dealership, I want to contact Audi UK.

I've filled in their general "Customer Services" form (link here), but as of yet I've had no reply.

Really I'm looking for an email address of someone relatively high-up in Audi UK.

Strange, the top option was for the local dealer and the second Audi customer services so I assumed the later would be Audi direct.

Can't find an email address but Audi CS is 0800 699888, alternatively there is a Paint and Body survey the group do, that contains a "i'm not happy contact me" option near the end I believe.

I've already had the survey from the first time around, and filled it in accordingly. As of yet I'm still yet to receive any kind of communication from Audi UK.

I've just drafted a letter and am about to post it to Audi UK (Milton Keynes).

Was it the paper copy or did you do it online? If it was paper, and you gave it back to them, I really would not be surprised if they binned it when they saw you were giving low scores.

Sorry I've not been much help then, the letter might work, or perhaps the Audi twitter or facebook page?

It was the online survey, and I'm one step ahead of you, I just contacted Audi UK on Facebook.

The letter is being sent regardless.

Get into Bernard's ribs hard and if by 11am tomorrow morning you are not getting satisfaction into the Dealer Principal. I would also make Audi UK aware of your concerns and make sure you correspond in writing too. I would also suggest the clear, concise yet very firm is the best approach now. I would want a face to face meeting, a comparable Audi and them fixing it at their cost to 100% satisfaction.

How long have you had the car and was it from new and was this issue there form new? Sorry if you mentioned it already.
