Rapists

Man rape? Dave Chappelle has thoughts on this! (youtube it, can't post due to language :p).

A good male friend of mine was raped several years ago, not long after that he turned to drink, becoming an alcoholic and got into drugs. Tried to take his life a few times.

For a woman to be raped is terrible but at least society and the law is on their side - male rape seems to be largely ignored and the stigma attached to it (arguably) worse for a man.

My friend never reported it and although doing better now, hasn't been the same person since.

Edited to add - homosexuality is a choice, I truly believe someone isn't born gay.
So you chose to be straight?

I don't see why anyone in their right mind would choose to be gay, I mean because of that free life they lead? You know not risk being put up for life in some countries, having their life taken?

You may as well have just said 'When you're born you get to choose on a slider what colour you pop out' -_- This world at times...

quite possibly...

though I'd suggest that you probably still get a large portion of rapes within the prison population in the US

Yes but those rapists usually aren't gay, on the outside they prefer women. So those rapes are still born of heterosexual frustration.

You are still completely ignorent of the motives behind rape. Especially in prison, it has little to do with "frustration". It is about power and control.

You know what amazes me most is the amount of people who still bite to its trolls.

1) Keep it away from bright light, 2) Don't get any water on it and 3) Never, never ever feed it after midnight

Sorry but it's simply about people being horny. That power trip theory has been relegated as sociology professor feminist claptrap ages ago.

If it is "purely genetic" how do they know it's not pre-natal gene expression turned on by environmental factors like high dairy consumption?

This is the book from the 70s that popularized the rape "control" cliche, written by a feminist.

It's be dismissed as complete tosh by actual biologists and evolutionary psychologists.

Mrhh, if this is true then I really have learned something today. I can see that the sexual urge is important, but I really would have thought the desire to control and denegrate would have been very prominent. I remember back during the Yugoslavian war there were some very nasty cases of male soldiers being captured and subsequetly raped and throats cut. They were then left in a field in a position such that it was quite clear what had happened. I'd have thought the sexual urge would have been quite low on the agenda of the rapists?

I think there definitely needs to be a reform of the rape culture. Funnily enough I was chatting to some people about this before. They were talking about what an awful thing it was and how the perpetrator should be castrated etc etc. When a bloke getting raped was mentioned however, everyone found it hilarious, a hypocrisy I could not understand.

Then again the world is moving into strange times.

A quick look at some of the best respected scientific journals such as the journal Nature will show this. If you're interested, then it should be easy to find by yourself - I won't find it for you.

That's a no then. I'll disregard your assertion if that's the case. If you make a claim you need to be willing to back it up.

If you are willing to disrepute the established consensus, then the onus is on you to explain how and why you disagree with the current best theories not me. Anyway, this subject is not my area of specialism so if I am wrong regarding the consensus within the scientific community on this topic then I shall admit such a mistake - however, that is the consensus which I am aware of and I haven't seen any definitive evidence to show otherwise.

Perhaps it is, I have no idea. But until I see evidence for a mechanism by which female sex hormones from cows (an entirely different species mind you) in milk can contribute to homosexuality, I remain sceptical as any scientist should.
