Hi,

I think my raptor is on the blink. I've downloaded maxtors drive tools to test it but its not having any of it.

Anyone know of any good tools to test this?

DOH. Cheers mate, looks like I had a bit of a senior moment there.

Since posting I think that its my mother board as ive installed windows on a different drive and its still messing about. :S

Always check the RAM first. Use memtest from www.memtest.org and use either the .iso and burn it to CD or make floppy. That needs to pass about 8 hour of the full test error free for the RAM to be stable.

just ran mem test with 2x512 stciks. Came up with loads of errors. Just tried with 1 stick and have one error.

Just about to test the other stick.
