Raptor drive showing as Removable hardware!!!!!!

Got a prob with a computer he recently built, heres the specs(all purchased from overclockers):

amd athlon x2 3800
asus a8n5x
1gb duall channel pack Geil(2x512mb)
western digital raptor 74gb
asus 6200 (bag of no swearing! he's gettin a 7800!!!)

Basically after installing all nessacary drivers etc and rebooting the little green arrow thiny bob pops in his icon tray in his taskbar ( you know *** i mean the trhing that pops up wen u plug a usb pen in) its for removable hardware!! Well when you click on it the only hardware inside is his western digital raptor drive! Now I know for a faxct that it shudnt b showing up at all in there, have we done summat wrong, is there a driver or fix for this!I've included a pic for ya:

Nayone got any ideas on this one?? Its annoying him and me, i just think it mite b slowin his beast down a bit!

This is normal behaviour. My 36Gb drives show up like this as well on my nForce3 board. Just make sure you don't actually remove the drive.

They also used to show up when on the IC7-G as well. Never caused any problems to me at all.

SATA is hotswappable, this means you can power it down and remove while PC is on however if its the boot drive it still wont let you remove it

If it's bugging you that much you could un-install the Nvidia Ide/sata drivers
that'll get rid of the green arrow but you may find cpu overheads are greater with the system using xp's own drivers.

Ok guys thanx for all your help my mates decided he's gonna just leave it he's happy with the performance of the system, and so am I!! Just waitin for him to buy his 7800 and it'll b away!
