recently put together my first rig. 6600 c2d, 2gb geil ultra low latency pc6400, evga 680i and bfg8800gts. all working dandy which is such a relief. im considering getting a 74gb raptor drive to run windows from. currently running of samsung SATA drives. what you guys think. will i get much of a performance increase.mainly multi task and game. also getting vista when its out

ahh are they worth it the question most asked about raptors 
Raptors are the fastest single drives, they are also very expensive compared to others. as for noticing a difference real world difference will depend on what drive you been using before. if been usng one of the latest samsungs then i would say the diference may not be that noticable and i dont think you will be going omg wow this rocks. if its an older drive then you may notice more of a difference and be more happy
