raptor or sata2

ive just got hold of a 74gb raptor

at min my windows is on a 160gb maxtor sata2 so i was wondering im about to format, which will be fastest? windows on the raptor or the sata2?

if raptor can i connect it to my sata2 connector on the mobo or does it have to be a sata1 connector?

The Raptor will be faster.
Pretty sure SATA2 is backward compatible so just plug it in and see. (you will probably need to create the drivers floppy or slipstream your SATA controllers drivers into xp using nlite)

lumocolor ir right, SATA II is definitely backwards compatable and you will need your driver disk that came with the MOBO
