Raptor over Maxtor?

Can anyone tell me if its worth buying a smaller raptor and running it on sata 2 because of the lower latency times over a 250gb maxtor on sata2, I know theres not much in it but im wondering if the lower latency times mean itl perform better in a gaming machine? or will the maxtor be sufficient with double the latency time?

just a decision I need to make before I buy a hard drive..

I'd post this in the HDD forum TBH. Or search there - lots of comparisons of the relative HD speed. Personally, I've 2 x 150GB raptors in RAID 0, and they're quick

Sorry, didnt see the dedicated hdd forum,
.. ah well il have a browse through there, thing is I probably wont be running them in a raid array so im wondering if its worth it. :confused:

Maxtor's are supposed to be unreliable, although I used to own one for 3 years and it was fine.
