Hello, i have 2 raptors (150gb) in raid 0 and when i boot the PC it says that one of the drives has failed (in red) and the others say OK or something similar (in green) but then it boots anyways.

can anyone suggest a fix for this? or identify the problem?

is there any raid monitoring software (for vista x64) available?

blah blah blah anything else you can tell me?

The only solution i can think of is to move the partition onto another disc and then reset the raid and then move it back. but for lack of software and patience i dont really want to have to do this.

please help me
spec in sig
thanks to all that reply

If the system is booting then there's nothing wrong with the Raptors, if one of those was dead then the array would be totally inaccessible.

Can you still access all the space that you should have across all three disks?

What board is this running off? I didn't notice one mentioned in your sig.

The mobo is a P5W DH (asus) it boots vista x64 fine, but according to the file explorer the drive is showing about double the used space being used (going into the drive and selecting all and properties shows half the amount of space used) i just put this down to some weird vista thing though.

OK, let me rephrase the question. If you go into Disk Management do you see 2 physical hard disks listed - a 300Gb one which represents the RAID array and a 500Gb one for your other drive?
