Hi

Just wondering if i could get some advice. I'm currently running 2x 80GB 10k rpm Raptors in RAID 0 for my OS and programmes and have a separate WD 250Gb for storage which is full of Movies, games etc.. and so i need to upgrade.

I've read somewhere that running 2x 500Gb drives in RAID 0 would be faster than my current setup is this true.

Either way i need to upgrade what would you guys recommend i do. I want to run a RAID 0 and have one separate drive for storage as now. Would you guys recommend i do.

Also i've alway bought Western Digital drives because they've never let me down haven't really experienced the others so cant judge

Are the Raptors the older 8mb cache or newer 16mb cache versions? That will slightly affect the results I think. It is however true that the newest 7200rpm drives are barely any slower than Raptors in most real world tasks.
