Raptor stops sleep mode?

hey all
been scratching my head over this for a while and have come back to the idea that it is the 74gb raptor that is the problem......
have vista on the raptor and when i hit sleep, it just hangs at the log in screen. shuts down and restarts as normal, just no sleep.
also have a 500gb WD which has xp on it, this works fine with sleep. now at first i thought it was a vista issue so i googled and tried all the suggestions there with no joy.
so is there a setting in properties that i should know about? or should i just post this in the windows section? :confused:

try..

bios update
sata driver update

is it running in ahci mode? (don't change it to this without backing up, you might need to reformat)

btw, here running 2x raptors in raid 0 with no sleep problems in vista

right, quick update..
already updated bios so searched for drivers, had a few so installed and tried each.
still did not work so i switched to ahci and got a blue screen then started to back up stuff ready for the fresh installation.
this morning i decided to give it one last press off the sleep button (accidentally!) and it worked! cant believe it!
now i started with the latest driver and worked down so its a mystery how or why it worked but it does....for now.
