hi all

going to be getting some raptors soon for a raid 0 set up

A) will i get sata cables with the drives? (im thinking not?)

B) i noticed there are special western digital sata cables that r supposedly 500% more secure that standard, are they compatable with the raptors and are they worth getting?

thanks all

Loki

SATA cables only comes with the motherboard.

OEM hard drives never come with SATA cables. So you'll have to source for your own SATA cables.

The Western Digital SATA cable is the same as the others. Personally, i see no point paying twice the price for it.

The WD SATA cable is a bit of a pain, it covers the SATA power port as well as the data one but doesn't provide a power pass through. This means you have to use the molex power connector on the drive (if it has one!) and you have a nice binch of SATA power connectors from the PSU which are useless for anything else.
