I think I might change my order actaully. I was just about to buy 2x Seagate 7200.10 320GB's, but I might just get one now and get that Raptor. Hmm, decisions, decisions.

Drives are already stupidly cheap at the moment. The only thing you're likely to see drop in price in any reasonably large amounts are 400GB plus but even they are low at the moment.

I got one of these drives yesturday, installed it into the new system, ran the windows setup everything was going ok, then it started making this clicking noise, windows setup reported the disk was corrupt and cannot be used, rebooted, bam no longer found in BIOS, completely dead, wouldnt even spin up after that,

Ive seen a few people say this has happened also.

Just a faulty drive. Unfortunately no vendor has a 100% success rate - it's just one of those things.

The 300GB Raptors will not be appearing till late next year.

thats a very nice price shame you cant see the hdds in my case. wouldnt of minded one of them to watch the insides work
