Raptor150+Maxtor300 ... How to Setup?

I've just bought a Raptor 150Gb drive to go into a new rig, and I already have a Maxtor 300Gb SATA drive...

Can anyone please advise me as to how I should set these two up? I know next to nothing about RAID and HD configuration in general, so any and all advise is welcome. Especially regarding the physical connections and cabling I require.

N.b. The rig they are going is comprised of:

Is there a 250GB+ drive that you (or anyone else!) would recommend as a partner to the Raptor? It would be used for the OS, plus docs, media, development, etc.
