Lads,
anybody out there have the 150gb Raptors ?
If so, what do you find the best way to organise it? Do you keep it all as one big C Drive or do you split if up, and say run your games on a partition, or do you just lump Windows,Apps and Games in one big partition ?

If you are running a single drive in your PC I would always split the drive as this increases performance and makes it easier to format/resolve any problems.

I would do:

C - 45GB ish - Windows, Apps
E - 100GB - Docs & Storage

I don't have a Raptor, but I keep a 20GB partition (C:) for Windows and any programs/apps installed, then another partition (D:) for games (so they don't have to be reinstalled if I format Windows), documents etc. I've also got a second HDD (E:) which I keep my music, movies and downloads on. I also have my pagefile on my second HDD, just for a slight increase in performance.

As long as you stay organised from the very start, it should be fairly easy to stay that way.

I use 10GB partitions for windows, which is suffcient so long as you keep it clean.

Use seperate partitions for games, applications, backups and so on. The partitions you use the most should be the closest to the start of the disk, which is apparently faster.

I have a 20Gb Windows partition, 50Gb Games and the rest as one for everything else. My swap partition is on another physical drive.
