im thinking of getting 2x 150gb raptors and running in raid 0 (never used sata before so hopefully this isnt too dificult to set up)

i heard that they are v noisy so considered getting some of these OcUK Silentmaxx Aluminium Hard Drive Enclosure (HS-000-OK) from this page http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_Hard_Drive_Accessories_72.html

has anyone used these? are they any good do they really reduce the sound by so much?

i currently have a 160gb seagate barracude hd ATA, once i set up the 2 raptors into a raid can i still use the ata hd as extra storage or to backup the raid? or would this slow down the speed increase i wuld be getting from the raid 0 set up?

any help appreciated

having read some other stuff if i want fast hd's is raptors still the best way to go? seeing posts about the seagate .10's they seem to suggets they are only marginly slower, and are cheaper and quiter?

would two seagate hd's on raid 0 be nearly as good as 2 raptors?
