Would it be possible to set up pi-hole on wap for only my kids to connect to it so they have restrictive website access?

I currently have hostapd working on WAP but it doesn't have internet yet I think I need to bridge it?? and I wanted pi-hole to be part of the WAP if that is possible?

So kids connect to pie and adults can connect to my normal router with normal access?
Thank you for any help and advice.

(update)

I have now set up pi-hole that is all working, what I would like to try and do is have pi-hole logs sent to an email if that is possible?

Pinhole has built in groups so you can have specific restriction for groups of devices and none for others. You can use this feature to block XXX/porn and so on.

I use it to give my kids Kindle tablets unrestricted access as the Amazon kids software is better as a net nanny that a pinhole would be.

I also use it so my IOT has unrestricted access to the net (the likes of Google home and hive devices) as some block lists cause them to be sluggish or have errors.

You are over complicating things by trying to run a specific network just for the kids, you would be better running it as a subnet or layered network rather than a sperate physical network.

Thank you I will give this ago.

What I got working was having pie hole have sperate DNS to my router so the kid's computer connected to that DNS instead.
I know it is easy to bypass if they change the DNS IP back, but I am working on other options as well.

Thanks.

Not sure if this is helpful but I have two groups setup (one is blocked and one is unblocked) and I can add clients to each group. Currently I have lists assigned to the Blocked group and then my kids tablets and laptops assigned to that blocked group and my desktop, laptop and phone is assigned to the unblocked group which does not have any adlists assigned at all.
