With Raspberry Pi set for release next month, what are you planning on using it for?

I'll probably grab a couple as front end streaming devices so anyone around the house can watch media stored on my HP Microserver.

Wow, completely missed this.

The media streaming idea sounds excellent. What would you need to add to be able to use this to play films off my WHS on a TV? I assume a USB drive for an OS of some sort, that supports a USB IR receiver for a remote, and a Wifi dongle? Ideally I would like it to play video and audio files as well as DVDs ripped into VIDEO_TS folders?

I'm assuming you use the SD card to boot the OS from (big asumption so far). It has onboard audio over the HDMI port. So that leaves the USB port free for an IR receiver of some kind.
