Instead of getting an amd spec now, im going to wait until the end of this month and get an i7 instead so ill end up with a nice £1100 to spend purely on the pc.

Heres what i had in mind.

The following month i was going to buy another 4870 the following month, probally with a 24" monitor as well and a 60gb SSD.

I think I'd be tempted to spend a little less on the case and get a better mainboard tbh, apart from that it looks good :)

Yea, Id say spend a bit more on the motherboard if you can. Spend £160 on a socket 775 board and its pretty good, £160 on a 1366 board and its pretty low end... well, for an i7 setup at least :p

Looks good though, should b great if you get 2 4870's in there :D

Agree with the motherboard.

The cooler is for the wrong socket, you need the 1366 version.

Also, get the OEM CPU (when it's back in stock).

I would try and maybe stretch to a 4890, I know it's not really worth it, but it's the latest shizzle so.......:D

Yeah get the oem cpu and this spec :) and you get the case you want :D

better - motherboard, cooler, hard drive, psu (its in stock lol) and is on budget
Go on, Agree with me again Icey_Haj :p

I would definately go for the P6T over the P6TSE as it supports sli as well as crossfire.

Will give you more options in the future. Apart from that though I thought Kennys spec looked pretty good

Both of you could have knocked 15 quid off the price and gone for the oem cpu though.

EDIT: if they were actually in stock.

Hence why they didnt include them haha :p

Good motherboards suggested there though! Wish I'd gone for an Asus when buying mine, think theyre one of the best makes out there, always do great in the motherboard reviews/comparisons

coupe, I'm offended that you think Kenny's spec is better than mine.

My mobo is better
Ram is better
GPU is better
Modular PSU, so that's better

Surely, I should win? :p:D

lol, agreed with the mobo, ram and gpu are better but difference is negligible, you got me on the psu must have missed that :p. But Kennys is a hundred quid cheaper ;)

So, basically what you two are saying is that overall I'm right, but maybe a larger hard drive would be better?

Yeh, that's OK then. :D
