My budget is about 800-900 tops.... so if there is any improvements try and stay within that budget...

Im planning to be able to run vista in a few months so i want a system that can cope easily... I also want to run top end games easily eg. Battlefield 2142, dont know whether that helps but there....

you can use that cpu without any probs as all conroe chips are great overclockers..

i would rather go for the e6300 and overclock it to 3hgz + the only difference between the e6300 and e6400 is that the e6400 is slighty higher at stock speed but if you plan to overclock then you are better off with the e6300 as you will not be running the chip at stock...plus you say a few quid :)
 
looks a good system if you overclock it for which you'll need a decent cpu fan like the

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU

Not sure on the case you might want to get an antec lan boy or the more expensive Lian Li pc-7
