Well after my frankly shocking attempt to paint the SJ with Hammerite i though i should get my finger out and do the job properly.
Must say the 400w rotary sander from Wickes it great, chews through the old paint in no time at all and at £20 it's pretty much disposable (mine is craphigh due to me using soapy water to ease the sanding, so i'm pretty sure the wife will bin it when i'm not watching!)

Bonnet needs redoing, i ran out of primer and the yellow paint is too thin to cover on it's own.

My new showplates have arrived too ;)

And i need to put the paint on a bit thick in places... these panels are 20 years old and need a bit of help staying in one piece ;)

Electric sander used with soapy water? Shocking!

Looking good though, definately way better than the old blue. I take it you have a thing for yellow? :D

Not sure about the bright yellow indicator, sidelamp and radiator though :P
