Watch some videos, it helped me pick up a few tips. I found shooting the rockets helped and timing it right to shoot the red robots so it takes out some of the others.

Well I managed it ..
on with the next and more fun to be had
In a way its good its not so easy tho it gets you hating it a bit when you keep failing

Damn, level 3 is hard ! I only just realised you can place turrets (which really help). If you don't know press the button above the touchpad in your right hand, the select turret with the trackpad. You can heal the turrets mid fight, but placing another new one takes too long to be practical. Even with the turrets it is hard, but awesome! I've got so close a few times, but love the challenge.
