Raymond cooking a steak sandwich in pictures

How do you mean ?

I'm not au fait with the whole technical aspects of photography, sorry, but I find the "line" where the focus changes in each of them slightly too close to the forefront, and a little off-kilter/confusing to the eyes.

Is it Depth of Field? Bring the focus line a little further back?

For example, look at the second pick with the meat on the plate. Your eyes are automatically drawn to center-frame in the picture, but FORCED to move further down due to the focus line, which is uncomfortable, only to then be told "nope!" as the rest below that is also out of focus.

I hope you understand what I mean - some feedback from the layman, lol. :D
 
Underwhelmed.

This non-steak sandwich must have taken you forever to cook. You surely would have been constantly washing your hands and then handling the camera etc. Man up, and just make/eat a sandwich - we all know what they look like.
