As you can see mine is different. Hope this helps

I would be sending your keyboard back before they refuse it, and get it somewhere else, it doesnt look like a UK/USA at all, looks like someone randomly stuck keys on there and sold it.

Yeah thats definately different. Yours is the ultimate right? Maybe that has different keys? Anyone just have the regular blackwidow here?

Sorry about the poor quality but here is my standard black widow

Where did you buy yours from?

I have sent the photos of mine to e.buyer and they say their supplier has confirmed it is correct and that it is a EU version. They also said there are only two versions. A EU and a US one... I still dont believe that as mjones1 keyboard is diff....

Mine is the same as those photographed above with the #~ key next to the enter key.
Point their customer service to this thread as it shows quite clearly that something isn't quite right. Maybe you have an early promo model or something?

EDIT: Here's an image of mine for reference:

Hello guys,
here is the answer to the original question:
The code in the Razer BlackWidowUltimate configuration program is broken.
It does not evaluate the correct keyboard layout.

I have an german BW Ultimate keyboard and in my case it brought up an
greek keyboard layout instead of the german one.

I am using Windows Vista Ultimate.

As all fallback, when the software can not find its keyboard layout definition
matching the one it evaluated via the OS, it chooses the US keyboard layout.

You can use this to correct the situation.
Just do the following:

1.)
Locate the file "C:\Program Files\Razer\BlackWidow Ultimate\xml\KeyboardLayout.xml".
Copy this file to the desktop and load it into an editor of your choice.

2.)
In there you will find numerous keyboard layout entries.
Delete all of them except the one which is labeled "KBLAYOUT_ENGLISH".

3.)
Edit this last definition line to match your local keyboard layout.
In your case the whole file content should look like this:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<ITEMLIST>
<KBLAYOUTLIST>
<KBLAYOUT name ="KBLAYOUT_ENGLISH" kbdlayout="00000809" kbditems="MechKeyboardDef_UK.XML"></KBLAYOUT>
</KBLAYOUTLIST>
</ITEMLIST>

The term kbdlayout="00000809" is defining the codepage to use (in your case the one for the UK).
kbditems="MechKeyboardDef_UK.XML" is defining the graphical presentation of the keyboard layout in the Razer BlackWidow configuration program (again the one for the UK in your case).

4.)
Save the modified file to your desktop.

5.)
Rename the original file to KeyboardLayout_orig.xml or similar.

6.)
Copy the modified file from your desktop back into the folder
"C:\Program Files\Razer\BlackWidow Ultimate\xml\".

7.)
Restart your Razer BlackWidow configuration Program.

8.)
The right keyboard layout is used now =)

The described procedure worked for me.
I hope it works for you too =)
