I've had a few DeathAdders over the years. The latest 2013 one is more prone to breaking than the older ones due to a design change. I've had two that have had the same fault with the left mouse button.
Gave up with the 2013 in the end. Grab the 3.5g version if you can get it.
There's a bit of plastic on the underside of the LMB surface that presses down on the microswitch. Depending on how hard you slap your buttons, you can shatter it. The old mouse had a slightly different setup which was much more robust.
I have decided to stick with my MX518 for now. I updated my drivers to the latest "Logitech gaming software" & that was just terrible. Mouse acceleration was introduced & it felt far less controlled.
So I've rolled back to the latest compatible setpoint drivers, whereby setpoint controls the mouse & not the OS. This has got rid of acceleration which is good enough for me
I bought a 2013 Deathadder but ended up returning it as I found it too large and uncomfortable to use! Back to using my Logitech MX Revolution but I'm tempted to go for a Zowie FK if I can get one at a decent price.
