One for the mouse professionals here:

The last two Razer Diamondbacks I've owned had a rubbery texture to them, which is why I got rid of them as they were horrible to use, and picked up all the dust and grease from general use.

Now I was round my friends house yesterday and he had one in blue, which had a smooth, solid, non-rubber texture to it. I asked him where he got it and he said his son got him it.

Now my question is have they changed the model now to this kind of texture? Has anyone bought one of these recently?

TIA.

are you sure it was a diamondback, ive been mistaken about different razer models more than once myself??

rubbery texture to the mouse or buttons? if its the buttons there just covered in some anti slip stuff which can be scraped off if its the actual side of the mouse i know they changed the design between the diamondback and diamondback 3g not sure if thats one of the differences though

Was it transparent? If so, it was probably the old 1600dpi model. I'm using a Diamondback 3G, don't really take any notice of the texture, only when I stroke it.

It was a new type, in all black with the blue lights in the sides, with a smooth surface.

Not sure as to whether it was a 3G model though.

Ah. After seeing that picture I think it was probably the copperhead. They are indeed very similar.

Edit: Yep that's the one. Ta velly much. ;)
