Razer entering the world of console gaming

Saw this a few days go on a cod4 community site. I reckon its a good move by Razer, good money to be made from the console boys.

Pity the products won't be up to much and will be ridiculously overpriced.

Good business move by Razer though :)

As good as it may be, and possibly only due to MS's stupid licensing, I could never use that with it being wired.

+ I'm guessing Razer is trying to cut down response times as MS wireless pads can have some pretty bad response times

Its also to do with the tournament grade aspect. If they want to go for the pro angle it has to be wired as that's all that's allowed at events. No pro players will be allowed to use them if they were wirelless.

Looks good but as noted above, being wired is a big blow to the chances it has of being great and selling well, unless it's cheap of course but with it being Razer, I am guessing very overpriced.

I did wonder that, but are wireless pads really that 'off' in terms of pro-gaming?

I didn't think they would be, but guess so.

They've partnered with MS before so maybe they'll get a wireless version out. As its produced as "tournament grade" wired will be a plus for the people its aimed at, but ultimately they'll get more sales if they produce a wireless version. Razer will know this and do everything they can to make it happen I'm sure

Same price as a wireless MS 360 pad in the states

I don't think they are too bad but I was watching an onLive press conference a few weeks ago and they were saying that the Wireless 360 controller is about 20-30ms and going upto 80ms if 4 controllers are connected. So I'm guessing Razer will be aiming for the 1-5ms range with Official 360 controllers looking at 10-30ms.

Pro gamers will probably see a difference but general gamers won't.

Great, let me guess without looking at the url - they have ovepriced glowy (see tacky) controllers that will most likely break a few months after purchase? I've still got my original 360 controller that came with my launch day 360 btw :D/
