am looking to buy a wired mouse for my m1530 laptop. Don't really want to spend much at all. Have found the Razer Krait on a very reputable website for £19 which i think is a very good price considering the reviews ive read of it. my only issue is that it only has 3 programmeable buttons. to anyone out there with one of these, where are these buttons. the main thing im after is a back button by your thumb. does this have one. Any other mice is this price range you would recommend

hey guys. also looking at the microsoft habu. heard about software problems with it though. was wondering, if i just plugged it straight in, no software install, do the dpi setting buttons, and the 2 thumb buttons work

lo mate,

I purchased the razer krait a while back for just fps games.

Its a great mouse, the 3 programmable buttons are just left click / middle mouse button / right click. (No idea what a back button is)

Your post is a little confusing so if i am explaining the wrong thing to you, sorry.

Hope this helps

i've had a habu for a while now, love it, interchangable side panel to fit your hand is a really good idea and of course i think it looks sexy too :)

Not had any software problems with it on XP, Vista 32, Vista 64, Server 2008...

so, if i were to just plug the habu in, would the thb btton, dpi settings etcc wok straight away or would i have to install software?

All worked out of the box for me without touching the driver disk on all of the OS i mentioned above.

yep, habu backup squad here :D.

i love it, and everything as soon as u plug it in.

you can even turn the lights off if you dont like that sort of thing.

superb mouse.

what does the softwar do then. is it just for customising the button setup. also, how do these mice wok on various surfaces. do you have to use a mousepad?
