razer lachesis refresh + firmware update failed!!

Basically im trying to update the firmware on my razer lachesis refresh but everytime i use the win7 64 firmware updater it just pauses and then says the update has failed.

Does anyone have one of these mice and know how to succesfully install the latest firmware?

I did, prob still do, think its in cupboard somewhere, it started getting erratic after about a year, it worked for me though just updating the firmware through the program, does it not give you any error message other than "its failed"?

It just hangs for about a minuet or two and then says its failed and to take the mouse out and plug it back in and try again. But that doesnt work...

You tried different USB port maybe?

Tried different usb ports and just tried it on another machine which has xp 32bit and that failed too :/
It said i needed the drivers installed so i installed them but it says no mouse detected on both machines! im stumped!
