Razer Mamba

Anyone thinking of getting one of these, looks sweet, £120:eek: May just have to pre order this week.

If I wasn't in the process of building my new PC I probably would, I tried out a "test" version which was essentialy an empty shell and it is the most comfortable thing I have ever used.

I may get one in a few months, happy enough with my Habu at the moment.

I was definitely going to get one....and then I saw the price. £50 is a lot for a mouse, but £120....well.....mind-blowing :(

The specs are mighty impressive though. I'm perfectly happy with my deathadder at a fraction of the price for now. Over time, hopefully the technology will filter down into the cheaper mice, or Razer will release a more basic and affordable version, though that doesn't seem to be the way they do things!

5600 dpi! Ha, Neo couldn't even game at that speed never mind you average Joe! I play at 2000dpi and thats well enough. £120 for a mouse, no really! Despite being the proud owner of both a Lachesis and Lycosa I can't justify what I spent on those products even though I highly rate them, call me contradictory if you will! However its only plastic and wires... Razer have a bad habbit of over charging their customers, although I will never stray away. Shush can't be to loud Larry the Nazi killing lachesis may hear you.

Um N1ghtHawk97 - dpi isn't a measurement of speed.... dpi = dots per inch... Yes its impressive and almost no one is going to notice the difference over 2000, but speed... no :D

I've got myself an MX Revolution. Not got 2000dpi, but works a treat and is wireless, comfortable, great for browsing the net and with documents. Don't notice much lag when gaming. Definate all rounder though I thought that cost a lot when I paid for it! Sod £120

what is so special apart from the DPI to make this so expensive?

It's wireless but has an incredible response rate on par with any high end games grade mouse hell it's faster than most of them, it can also can be made wired by plugging a usb into the front.

dpi = high scroll rate = faster mouse curson on screen = speed!

Bet the battery lasts for a whole 15 hours.... if yur lucky!!!

Love Razers though, best mice on the planet, except the furry ones lol

And chocolate/candy ones.

I really doubt I would pay £120 for a mouse when I could get a decent graphics card for that price lol

It has a cable for charging, and as for the above we are both right really as dpi (dots per inch) does increase the accuracy.

Way too expensive, although it has the option of connecting the wire back to it to recharge the mouse and still enables it to be used, a feature I always wanted. :(

Whilst I agree its a pricey mouse, it is the main input device for most of our PC usage and very imprtant in gaming. How much do people spend on other hobbies? How much is a single decent golf club?
imo, £120 is reasonable for the best......
