Razer mice a warning!

Not even the best gaming mouse on the market, I have a Gladius and i have spare Japanese Omron switches incase this happens and can buy more online easy. Not only that but the mouse has 2x the polling/updates of all the others on the market.

In short Asus are now the mouse kings, And Razer are an overpriced junk seller of cheap Chinese plastic.

Got razer naga first edition for years, now as a backup mice but its bullet proof! Worst i had was logitech G series , few failed miserably in months. Now got steelseries sensei wireless, made and feels like a tank, worth extra money they ask for it.

I wouldn't buy a razer product as they are, by far, the most complained at when it comes to quality. Plus I have invested in a couple of spare sensei mice for when mine dies.

Switches double clicking is a common problem and with omron it costs about 70p to fix. Most of the time you just open the mouse, open the switch, change the metal plate and it is back to being perfect.

My original DeathAdder lasted ~8 years, replaced it with a DeathAdder Chroma last year, still looks/feels new.

8 years of heavy use, opened it up to clean it once in that time. The right click eventually failed on mine.

Very happy with Razer mice.

Same here original (blue) deathadder 6 years of use and still going strong. Bought a spare a few years ago and it still not onto it. Very happy with my Razer.

While I can't stand Razer products as they look like Batman had sex with with a few classic shaped mice during the Christmas period the double clicking is down to the same Omrons used in most other mice. If you were using the DA pick up a Zowie EC1-A its a very good match and doesn't put form over function like Razer does. Logitech quality is for instance just as bad as Razer in my experience the difference is one phone call and you have a new mouse thus people sing their praises. I don't think there's any particular mouse maker that produces a great solid product over the 25 or so mice I own. Mionix probably come closes though.

I used a Razer Deathadder for MANY years and never had any issues at all. They are one of the most reputable gaming company for peripherals so i would imagine there support is second to none!

it does come with a warranty.

2 year warranty on all mice

contact us and we will sort it.

and in future, please don't make scaremongering threads on forums before checking with your supplier to see if assistance can be provided.

We will help as much as we can and the turnaround on Razer RMA is usually excellent so there is no need for 'a warning' or any other threads like that.

The RMA percentage for razer peripherals is the second lowest from our range and they are the most efficient at resolving customer issues.

Probably because they hate their products and end up left in the draw or in the bin! :D

I experienced this twice, first time razer replaced no issues at all after 11 months (which was nice seeing as when I had a lycosa issue they didn't want to know...)
When it happened a second time another 7-8 months later the response from support was canned and dismissive.
I really couldn't be bothered forcing the issue and hit it again 6-12 months later so went for a logitech instead.
The DA is a great mouse but I don't fancy replacing a mouse once a year.

Pretty much the same experience as bledd.

I had a Deathadder for 6 years until the left click stopped being consistent. Finally replaced it with a Chroma last month.

Yeah, Another disappointed Razer user here, they just ... die.
Logitech for me now, despite looking boring in comparison to Razer's fancy aesthetics.

wow, I still have an original deathadder..
I can't even remember where I bought it, but it was well over 5 years ago
The right click is starting to get a little light, but it's still going :)

If it wasn't for a bit of wear on the shell, I'd just replace the microswitches (in fact I might do so for fun anyway :P )

just like to pop in and say that I've used razer products for around 10 years and never had a problem.

dropped the side panel of an old case on my diamondback which broke the right click, repaired it but was a bit sticky.

had my deathadder since then (2012 I think) and it's worked flawlessly.
