Razer mouse stutter

I have a Razer Ouroboros in wired mode. From a cold boot, the cursor stutters constantly, totally unusable. It then slowly improves until it works fine after about 30 minutes. Rebooting the PC is fine, it only happens from a cold boot.

I have tried every USB port (2.0/3.0) and none make any difference. The mouse also works perfectly on another PC. I have a spare mouse (not a Razer) which has no problems on my PC at all.

Does anybody have any ideas? I might have to replace the mouse :(

Thanks, I did try that to no avail. I even reinstalled Windows too.

I have switched the mouse to wireless mode and the issue is not present.

Had the ouroboros and mamba mice since they were launched and had EXACTLY the same problem with 4 or 5 different PC's I've used it on. Sometimes when it was wired and sometimes when it wasn't.

Used to have the same problem with other razer mice also (deathadder etc) - sometimes they'd stutter upon a cold boot. Cure was to unplug then plug back in again which was a PITA.

Not many people complaining about this though even though I'd experienced this issue across multiple razer mice and pc's. In the end I gave up and bought a far cheaper Hermes mouse to match my Hermes mech keyboard - not had a problem since.

Sorry I know its not a fix but it was the only way to get around this crappy issue. i'll never buy Razer products again because of this - it was NEVER addressed yet they claimed to have done so in previous firmware updates.
