Cheers Rhys, how heavy we're they? Do you get stung for import duty?

Mine were 2200's for my 450 so a bit smaller than what you would want for the 550.
They are however 237g each.
And no, no import tax at all.
Personally, I wouldn't buy multiple 6S packs from the Hong Kong warehouse. I've never been hit by customs personally, but I've never ordered anything that would arrive in a particularly big or heavy box.
I'd calculate for the hassle of customs (vat + the inflated royal mail/parcel force admin fee) and weigh it up against ordering from the DE warehouse. Then at least you have an objective view of the situation.
Depends how serious you are?
Spektrum dx6 will cost you 70 new. Minimum you should get if serious. If you have never flown anything more than a cheap toy, invest in something like Phoenix sim for around 40-50 second hand. Then buy a cheap to crash model like mcpx. If you still serious after that, trex500 ish should be the next step.

Ok cool, so whats the deal with compatibilty, will the DX6 be compatible with the majority of medium end helis that i would be looking it?
I presume as its 6 channel i wont ever need to upgrade controller for any functional reason?
Hows the flying going RB?

The dx6 will bind with most models and should do you all the way up to 6/700 size models costing four figures!
Excellent.
Would you rate the honeybee king 3 as a good post sim heli?
Tempted to snap this one up as its close if so.
Can comment on the honeybee, never seen one. Since I joined heliadicts, ne'er heard it mentioned tho!
How much is it?
Fair enough, it seemed to be quite popular as a beginners heli at £130 HERE, but bearing in mind your likely to know more than me ill stick to the MCPX.
Now to look for a controller, Thanks!
Edit: What sort of cable/reciever do i need to link the transmitter up to the PC with?
