RC Helicopters

friend got a decent rc heli the other day, cant remember the model but he needs some serious practice xD But i'm all ready getting hooked just watching him crash lol

I'm looking at my next heli, maybe Blade MCPX? Or should I move onto something bigger?
Trex 450 if you're serious about the hobby and want to properly learn. You NEED to put hours in on a Sim first though.

Be a good mate and video it ;):D

Just found out there is a big shop really close to me, going to pop over tomorrow.

There is also a club not too far away, it seems expensive though, £71 for a years membership.

Just finished re-building the old Raptor 30 I got for xmas :D!

Anyone recommend a good club near stockport/peak district that will help me set it up/test it out?

Nice w3bbo.

I had a play on the simulator last night, it's hard work and I crashed loads but very addictive. I'm going to need to put many hours in before I attempt to fly anything else.

Where can you actually buy Turnigy TX from, I've read many people say about buying them but can't see them to buy in the UK - I'm looking at a Spektrum DX6i and 120 SR to move up learning curve and outside?

Yea Phoenix, it's great.

Yesterday I bought a Blade MCPX, had a very quick flight in the garden, I'm going to need a lot more space but it seemed to fly great.

I'm also going to need many more hours on the sim, it's amazing how much I have improved already though.

still waiting on my hobbyking order and im expecting to get raped by customs :@
any packages handled by parcel force are garunteed to get customs fees because they encourage customs to check all of their packages...

aparently the handling fee is pure profit for them

I was going to ask you about that arknor, as my plane finally got shipped yesterday. :o

When did you place that order? And where is that International Hub?

the international hub is at gatwick, i placed it ages ago like you but my package got stuck in limbo during the chinese new year at the singapore postal office :@
the best place for tracking is here
http://track2.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/track?catId=20700386&pageId=trt_track
it converts your tracking number into the new tracking number once the package is scanned in the uk aswell :D
parcelforce will porbably deliver your plane though as its a big box , the same as they are likely to deliver all my heli stuff because i ordered to many items

apparently "International Hub Awaiting Customs Charging" doesnt always mean you get get customs charges though.

I see a few of us have Phoenix... Who's up for a little fly tonight maybe?
All experience levels welcomed... Could be a good little place to practice and ask questions?

Ps, I've never been had with HK orders and customs tax. Just lucky I guess.

I'm afraid the pictures of the V120d02s were too shiny so I bought one :) Arrived today in less than 6 days from ordering with no customs changes. Bonus.
Looks like a nice piece of kit, going to check it over tonight for first flight tomorrow, or the weekend if it's nice.
Didn't like the msrx in the end, all the problems reported on the forums put me off and I got my 4#3b flying again so I can annoy the wife by hovering in front of the tele.
