RC Helicopters

Have a look on eBay, there's usually a copy up for grabs, just make sure it has the dongle with it. If you needed a transmitter, I could have helped.
I shall be updating my Phoenix to the Beta tonight probably. The new flying sites sound good.

3.xxx whatever the latest is. Aside the new 4.0Beta.
Doesn't really matter what version you get, as you can just download and update it to the latest version when it's installed (All done through the program itself) The newer the version you buy, the less you have to download.

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE DONGLE WITH THE SOFTWARE if not buying new. The software is worthless if you don't have a dongle as you can download it from Phoenix themselves.

just took the head apart on my hk 250gt to swap out the feathering shaft for a proper align one as its a known weak part, now im in the process of putting all the head back together and threadlocking all the metal to metal screws and its taken me about 6 hours so far and im still not done lol!

no wonder people say to buy a 450 size heli if its the first time your going to build one!
most of the screws only have 1-2mm of thread sticking out to threadlock and its a bloody nightmare manipulating them back into the holes once you threadlock them!

i have a serious headache from stairing at the tiny peices aswell!

btw the main blades are suposed to be slightly loose so they can swivel for storage right? thats how all the tiny indoor helis ive had have been anyway

Still got to get the curves right for relaxed flying but it is really stable. It can get a bit of a shift on though!
Here is is compared to my 450

I just got an mCPX as I'm still too nervy with my Neon Blaze. Only got one chance to take it out before the snow last week but looking forward to the challenge of learning it :)

Looks lovely, probably one of those stupid Spektrum BNF heli is it?
One thing about Futaba is I wish they did such things.

Nah, not Spektrum, Walkera. It is BNF though, well Walkera's version. I already have a WK2801Pro Tx so didn't see the point in getting another Tx.

I've already flown a mcpx but decided on this one.

As it's my first flybarless, and micro as well, anyone know how to check the pitch?
The gauge for my 450 is way too big and there isn't a flybar to line it up against anyway.

I've only had her hovering/moving around in the back garden with a slightly dodgy normal mode pitch curve.
Basically the difference between climb and descend was a tiny movement on the stick. Made it bob up and down a little!

The stability was great though, it wasn't bothered by the slight wind, stuck where I pointed it and there was no sign of drifting. It can get up some speed in forward flight though. :D
I'm going to try it out properly today if the weather is OK.

Not really possible to mod like that, the FBL system, receiver and gyro's are all in one package which wont be compatible.

Yeah sounds like you need to get the pitch and throttle curves sorted if that's happening.

I bet it shifts if you want it too.. and will disappear quite quickly :)

Ah right, I thought it may be an all-in-one setup, or all attached to a board of some kind.. No worries.. my T450, gliders, WIP's keep me busy...

Time to start repairing the 450...
New quick link
new motor (possibly)
Replace main air frame, boom, tail struts.
and probably more :D
