Hi,
Looking to upgrade my system and need to run 2-4 monitors. Mobo will have 2xPCIe. Looked at getting 2 of the fanless Nvidia 7300s or 7600s to run my current 2 TFT (17") but intend getting a 22" wide TFT soon to sit in the middle. My current PSU is a decent Zalman 400W which has been running a 6600GT AGP, ELSA Synergy PCI, 4 HDDs and 2 DVDRWs for a while with no problems
Questions:
Will my PSU be OK running the two cards?
Is there much difference performance-wise between the 7300 and 7600?
Would I be better getting a single card with dual DVI giving me the option of a second dual DVI later?
Are there any reasonable dual DVI (£100) that are fanless?
Will having 2 (or 1) fanless GPU cause any cooling problems?
I don't game (just want to run 3D modelling and fancy desktops) and I prefer Linux as my OS - hence a preference for NVIDIA over ATI.
Any comments would be gratefully received.
Cheers
Andy
