rdp through web possible

Hi is it possible to connect to my home pc from a wireless hotspot?
if it is what do i need

sure is..

If you have a router then you need to forward port 3389 to your home pc's ip address and ensure any firewall software will also allow these connections.

If you are using xp pro then just use Remote Desktop from the hot spot machine.

You can either use your isp's ip address that they have given you or you can use a dynamic dns service such as no-ip.com.

use vpn and open the port for vpn but dont open the port for rdp on your router, once you connected via vpn you can rdp.

just installed and tried it on my home network and it is just what i need. If i am using it whrough the www though will i need to open a port or anything?
