Hey,
I have set a couple of old pc's up with which I am having a go at mapping drives and Remote Desktop Connections as those are two things I ahve never done before and thought I would give them a go. I have the Remote Desktop working but how can I copy a file from the remote computer to the host computer over RDP?

Also, I ahve set a password for the main user on the remote computer. If when not using RDP that I boot the pc as normal, how can I get it to head straight to the desktop bypassing the password screen?

Thanks

Regards,
Neil

For the first part i don't believe this is possible, if the file is small just email it to yourself.

Another solution is install a FTP server on your home PC and use FTP to transfer the file across?

I solved the first issue by mapping one of the remotes drives onto my pc and trasnferring it accross that way. I thgouht there was something like Virtual PC addons to allow you to transfer files easily with a drag and drop but obviously not so thanks anyway.

You can put your hdds on share so you can access them to copy files

load RDP (username, password screen), click options, local resources, more, tick your drives
